1. What format do I need?

There are several formats to choose from:

  • TIF - Hi-res black and white format. Typically used for black and white print.
  • JPG CMYK - Hi-res color JPG format with CMYK color channels. This format is typically used for color print.
  • JPG RGB - Hi-res color JPG format with RGB color channels. This format is typically used for Web-based applications.
  • GIF Preview - Low-res GIF format, in color if color is available. This format is used for Web only, not suitable for print.

2. Why is it so slow?

The speed of your download depends on many factors:

  • Your Internet speed - your download speed is principally limited by the speed of your Internet connection.
  • Your network load - if you are using the Internet heavily (streaming video, Skype conferencing, etc.), the download may take longer.
  • Creators.com's load - if our website is undergoing a period of heavy use, it may slow your download slightly.

3. Why are you changing it, I liked it before!

We decided to change the email format to benefit you, our customer. We believe the new image email format will save you both time and space in your inbox.

We know that most often, our clients only use one of the formats we provide. By allowing you to pick which format to download, we hope to save you some time by not making you download unneeded files. Although it may seem as if the new system is slower, we believe you were spending more time downloading the larger emails than you will be downloading images individually from our server.

Instead of receiving several high resolution images in your inbox, you will now be getting one or more links to those same images. We understand that inbox space is precious and often sparse, so we are trying to save you as much as we can.

4. I clicked the link, where did the file go?

The location of the file depends on your browser. Most browsers have a default download location that all files go to. If you are on Windows, check the Downloads folder in your My Documents. On a Mac check the Downloads folder in your user folder. If all else fails, check the browser's download window (usually located under the Tools menu) and open the file from there.

5. Still need help?

If you still need help using our new email format, feel free to reply to the email you received from content@creators.com with your problem, or call our office at 310-337-7003.
